Riskrunner is a random drop Vanilla/Classic Destiny 2 Exotic Submachine Gun. However, with New Light/Steam release, You can now get it by completing a few simple quests!
But first, let's take a look at what this baby can do. It has overall excellent Handling and Reload Speed, but what makes it stand out is its Intristic perk, Arc Conductor. It works like this - if You get hit by an Arc enemy projectile, You will gain a shield protecting you from potential incoming Arc damage and spread out lightning chains on kills, extending the perk's duration. It is undoubtedly one of the best tools for PvE skirmishes. It is also the ultimate doom machine against the Fallen.
Here's a quick guide on how to get Riskrunner. Before You can start the questline, You are supposed to get it by completing the first story mission on the Moon. For this, of course, You must have the Shadowkeep DLC. Once done, the quest Pain and Gain is waiting for You. All objectives are pretty simple - complete a Lost Sector on EDZ, clear one Public Event on Heroic difficulty, and complete any Nightfall Strike. After that, the mission Risk/Reward will appear in EDZ. The mission isn't hard, but it takes some time. Also, there are some jump puzzles here and there. After completing the task, You will be rewarded with Riskrunner and an Exotic Catalyst for it too! Isn't that nice of Bungie?
If wasting an hour of valuable playtime to get the Exotic seems not worth it, our squad of professional PvE carries can do the job instead!
